Week 6 Review: Pause, reflect, adjust and reset

Lately, I have been working hard on this blog (in the back-end) and It got me thinking. I have been blogging for almost 6 months now, and I haven’t shared much about my Personal Weekly Review.
Oopsies!!!!
So, to mark the (almost) 6th month of this blogging business. I am going to share my Week 6 Weekly Review. I have been doing Weekly Review for the last 5 years hence, my week tag is now #288weeksofgratitude.
Welcome to Week 6 Review of 2021. The very first personal Bujo+GTD weekly review that I am going to share with you.
Review-related posts: December 2020 Monthly Review as well as the January 2021 Review.

Purpose of sharing my Weekly Review
I decided I am going to share my weekly review so that I can document how far I can go. There’s a lot of learnings to be had, small and big wins to celebrate and knowledge to share with you.
Sharing my weekly review will help me with accountability and consistency. At the same time, you would also get tips from me on the topic of Personal Development, Goals, Organising and of course Bujo and GTD.
My main goals in starting this blog are for me to be more intentional with how I spend my time, how I manage my tasks and projects (the list is so long) and to grow this blog which is my new-found passion.
Another goal is building a community of supportive intentional people like you. I love learning and sharing what I learned. The thing with knowledge is, it gets more valuable if it is passed around and more people benefit from it. Everybody wins.
I will be sharing my Weekly Review in between my normal Weekly Blog Posts. So it means I may not share every single weekly review. But, I will see how I go.
Tip of the Week
Intentional Tip# 9 Pause, reflect, adjust and reset
If you have been here for a while, you might have noticed that I love tracking. I track a lot of things. So even though this is the first Weekly Review, the tip I am sharing today is technically the 9th tip.
I published 8 Intentional Tips in November 2021.
Hey friend, I’m sorry I don’t post weekly review in the blog anymore. Instead I send more personal email weekly to my “mailing list friends”. If you would like to join, please grab one of the freebies here.
PAUSE
This is so important. I struggle to stay still literally. I have to so something. So this idea has been such a challenge. I am doing better though because I know how important it is.
Tell you what, most of the times, I can only pause for literally 2 minutes, but it makes such a difference. I am grateful for my Bujo because it motivates me to stop and pause.
REFLECT
When we think of reflection, we may think of some deep thinking long session but honestly, just a quick check-in will do. I do this daily.
ADJUST
So, with just a little pause, a quick check-in, we can then adjust what needed to be adjusted.
Our weeks are not going to be the same no matter how organised we are. Life will always happen in one of the weeks of the year and that is ok. That is how important Weekly Review. We can always take this opportunity to adjust. Continue what’s working and Do less or even stop what doesn’t work.
RESET
This is the best part. Reset. This gives us hope that things can be better. We can be confident that things can change.
2021 Week 6 Review

Weekly Check-in

As ironic as it may sound, my Week 5 was blank. In paper. I don’t know why I let that happen. @Bossafterfive and I connect weekly and it was funny how we were talking about consistency and then I just told that my Weekly Spread last week was blank.
I have been doing Bullet Journal for more than 5 years and last week was the first time I let the week passed by without writing on it.
An that 5 years plus I skipped a day or two but not the whole week so this is surprising.
Anyway, that event made me realise that maybe, I am growing through this blog. I can embrace imperfections and I don’t beat myself up anymore for not doing what I supposed to do.
Personal
Confession moment. I posted Self-care Tips and it was supposed to be a 6 weeks project of sleeping earlier than 3 am. Well, yeah, about that. I have failed. For the first 6 weeks, I was really good. I had this routine going on for a while.
Then, too many things happened and all these excitement of learning how to blog. I binge on online courses so the trade-off was my precious sleep. In the last 2 months, I had 3 of almost 3 am sleep time.
But I won’t let that frustrates me. Maybe it is time for me to accept that I am a night owl. That my brain works better between 12 midnight and 2 am when I have already done my wife and mummy duties.
For now, I am going to try again but I won’t be too hard on myself about it.
Those sleepless nights made it possible for me to learn more about how to blog and now I have a very clear vision and mission about this Blog business. But that will be a post for another day.
Family and Home
FAMILY
Fam bam is good. Miss Preppy M has settled in. She has been loving school and I am grateful for having Kuya and M. They are giving me the biggest reason why I blog to be intentional.
R has been amazing as always and he had been very supportive from the start. I am truly lucky to have him as a husband and partner in everything.
HOME
I have managed to move the furniture in the lounge room to make sure we have zones for working, learning and relaxation. However, my kitchen and the other parts of the apartment has been screaming for love. I am not as diligent with cleaning as I used to before blogging.
Passion
You know that my this blog is my passion and it has been keeping me busy for almost half a year. It involved a lot of work but I treat is as a labour of love.
I have accomplished a lot and I can’t wait to share with you what I have learned so far, in case some of you would like to try blogging too.
INTENTIONAL BLOG
Blogging is not the only passion you can pursue but the lessons I will share in the future posts will certainly apply to any passion.
Honestly, I don’t know yet where it will bring me but all I can say for now is, I love blogging. I learn a lot, I improve my way of life and I get to share tips with you. What could be better than that?
